I am Aleks.
My work lives at the intersection of design, communication, and human-centered problem solving. With backgrounds in Industrial Engineering, Graphic Design, and User Experience Design, I approach projects through both analytical and creative lenses, combining systems thinking with visual storytelling to create experiences that are functional, engaging, and accessible.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have worked across branding, editorial design, digital communication, UX research, and interface design. My experience ranges from developing visual identities and publication systems to conducting user research, creating prototypes, and designing digital experiences grounded in community feedback and iterative design processes.
Much of my work is inspired by the way people interact with their space and technology in their everyday lives. Through both professional roles and UX projects, I have become increasingly interested in accessibility, inclusive design, and creating experiences that support communities that are often overlooked in digital spaces, including older adults, immigrant populations, and multilingual users.
My background in Industrial Engineering introduced me to process improvement methodologies, while my studies in Graphic Design strengthened my understanding of visual hierarchy and communication design. More recently, my UX Design training allowed me to combine these disciplines through research-driven and user-centered methodologies focused on solving real-world problems.
In addition to design, I also work with photography, visual content creation, and digital media, integrating imagery and storytelling into broader communication experiences. Whether designing a digital platform, developing a brand identity, or creating editorial layouts, I value thoughtful design processes that balance aesthetics, usability, and human connection.
I believe design is an iterative, evolving process, one that should continuously adapt, improve, and respond to the needs of the people it serves. Through my work, I aim to create experiences that are not only visually compelling but also meaningful, accessible, and impactful.
