PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project explored the development of an independent mobile application for a local restaurant seeking to create a more direct and accessible pickup-ordering experience outside third-party delivery platforms.
Working collaboratively in a team of four, we conducted user research, analyzed competitor applications, and developed iterative prototypes focused on improving usability, customer interaction, and streamlined ordering experiences.

USER RESEARCH AND DISCOVERY
The project began with interviews conducted with restaurant staff and customers to better understand user expectations, frustrations, and ordering behaviors. Research focused on identifying opportunities to improve navigation, simplify ordering workflows, and create a more direct connection between the restaurant and its customers.
IDEATION & DESIGN PROCESS
After synthesizing research findings, our team discussed opportunities, user priorities, and application features that would best address both customer and business needs.
The design process evolved through multiple stages of low-fidelity, mid-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototyping. Early wireframes focused on navigation structure, ordering workflows, and information hierarchy.
Feedback gathered from users during testing sessions informed multiple revisions throughout the process, allowing us to refine usability, improve clarity, and strengthen the overall user experience.

REFLECTION
This project reinforced the importance of iterative and research-driven design. Engaging directly with users throughout the process demonstrated how meaningful feedback can reshape assumptions and improve usability decisions. It also strengthened my understanding of collaborative design workflows and the balance between business goals and human-centered experiences.
